I wanted to let you know that doing the therapy with you has changed my life – may sound a bit dramatic but its true
Since the last time I saw you I have continued to lose weight at a steady pace of about a 1lb a week, which I am thrilled about and I haven’t once thought of myself as on a diet!
I have also discovered an exercise which I love –I think I had just started to do it when I was seeing you – Zumba – I do it a couple of times a week at a class plus I can do it at home on the WII, its such good fun and I recommend it to anyone
I have given your details to several people cos everyone asks me how I am doing it – so hopefully a couple of those will make it through to you and see the amazing results I have.
Anyway hope you have a great Christmas and a lovely New Year and, you never know, I may be back in the New Year for a refresher

I have had a very rough 3 years, 3 big medical operations, resulting in activity, my mother had been ill and subsequently died and food and alcohol became a source of comfort. Hypnotherapy, and Katy in particular, helped me to understand, and combat, the negative thoughts around these events. How is the most important thing here. Food had become a habit rather than a need, and this fed, literally, into an overweight problem. Hypnotherapy has helped me to eat only when I am hungry, move away from fatty foods and alcohol and this in turn starts to show with clothes fitting better (I do not weigh myself) I get compliments as to how well I look, this then "feeds" the habit of healthier eating. I still have chocolate but only a square not a whole bar, and occasionally chips but I don't "need" or "crave" them, in fact a lot of greasy fatty food no longer appeals to me and I find it quite untasty.
The sessions leave me feeling so relaxed I have to wait before I set off. I also have a "light" feeling in my head literally not being "weighed" down. A sense of renewal sounds a bit over the top but this is how I feel and it works for me. I am actually starting to like myself, which, some of you reading this will understand, and that is a huge step.
You do have to want to change, your eating habits and your general outlook on life as well, and, if that thought is there, you will, with help. Katy is not only thoroughly professional in her support but tremendously keen for you to succeed and that again spurs you on.
I have been to counselling and hynoptherapy before, but, these sessions with Katy, have finally made it all click into place and, dare I say it, seem effortless.

Having tried different diets throughout my life i turned to hypnotherapy as a way of hopefully curving my cravings for sweet foods. To date things are looking good for me. I have changed my eating habits completly. I have learnt to eat at the right times of the day which makes me fuller so am cutting out the sweet things. I now take time to look at myself in a mirror more than before and can see my body changing for the better. Hypnotherapy has also helped me to take time for myself, to sit and think how i am changing and why i want to change.
I am doing this all for myself.
At the present time i am feeling really good about myself and the changes within me.
I know if at any point i need a little help along the way i have you to come back to.

I have tried every diet going, at my smallest i was a size 12 and my biggest a size 20, i loved the diets that let you eat as much as you want of certain foods because i never seem to be full, i could always fit in something more even though i wasn't hungry 'i just fancied it'.
Katy put me at ease straight away she's so professional and kind, and she didn't judge me we just got on with it, after hypnotherapy you feel so refreshed and ready to take on life.
Katy changed my whole way of thinking, i want to exercise and eat better food, quality not quantity, i don't think i really tasted food properly until now, my attitude towards food has changed completely i noticed i was eating more of the right foods in smaller portions even before i had the 'gastric band fitted' and since then my portion size is smaller i'm full for longer and i can see the effects already... my confidence is increasing with every pound that disappears and i can feel and see myself becoming the person i want to be, the person who i deserve to be. Stress is now thought to be the cause of the vast majority of illness, anything that makes the body or mind work harder can be termed 'stress'. When we are healthy that stress can be good for us, it is only when we stop coping effectively with this stress that it becomes difficult for our body to return to rest, or homeostasis. Stress which is chronic, that is to say persistant, can lead to a huge range of symptoms, illness, or diesease, such as IBS, insomnia, anxiety/panic attacks, headaches, high blood pressure, low moods, anger, emotional and physical exhaustion.
Hypnotherapy allows your body to re-learn how to relax and re-balance, it allows your mind to remember how to switch off and pleasantly drift.
I went to Katy Bargewell for hypnotherapy after putting up with nearly 4 years of not sleeping properly because of high levels of tension and anxiety. My only regret is that I didn’t go to her sooner!
At each of the 4 sessions, Katy explained thoroughly what was going to happen which put me at my ease; and my body learned to relax again.
I now find that even when I wake up during the night, I no longer lie in bed in a state of tension but remain calm and relaxed. The night sweats have disappeared too, which is a wonderful bonus.
I am thrilled that Katy taught me a technique that is helping me to sleep better, longer, deeper; especially as I did not want to take medication. It is also a great comfort to know that I can always go back for a “top-up” if need be.
